real live kung-fu action, bah-stahd
this was supposed to be the absolute un-heard of third entry of the day last night. but alas, maymay informed me that Speedle on CSI:Miami was shot and killed. well, folks, that was the end of that. i left the laptop, the hopes of wowing you with my leaky words for the third time, and sat myself in front of the tv and watched the drama unfold. CSI is a great show, and now they're adding another city to the roster. i'm too excited.
speaking of great shows, (that was a pretty awesome segue, even by my standards) last night i probably first-hand experienced the funniest moment in an asian couple's history. really, it was that funny.
my sister had finished going to a city council meeting in the evening for her Planning 120 class. she had discovered that the leading cause of bicylce accidents in Toronto are the silver garbage bins flying open at random and taking out innocent bikers. the woes of our city. as we head back to my office to grab my car, we notice two people, walking far enough from each other to be complete strangers, and far enough from us to play a quick round of "voice-overs." for those of you who don't know how this game is played, you take random people, and create a scenario and dialogue for them. all around amusing if it goes well. of the two people, the female - the hero of the tale - was further away and walking briskly, her counter-part in close persuit was constantly slinging a jacket over his shoulder and ensuring the take out in the white strofoam container was straight. ultimately, we assumed he was chasing her because they got into an argument over dinner, SHE WAS NOT HAVING IT or HIM for that matter. after a valianat effort at runnning/jacket slinging/food caring he caught up to her...yes they were in fact a couple, and yes they did have an arguement, we were on a roll! it appeared he was apologizing to her..
"i solly, rearry i solly!"
but as stated before, she was just not having it. and pushed him away between, what we can only assume to be quiet yelps of "Bah-Stuhd! Reave me arone!!"
then she did the unthinkable, it shocked us even as she was doing it. in between our laughs and comments, SHE KICKED HIM! not shortly after the stomp on the foot and two handed volley of her boyfriend onto the street. right in the RICE CAKES! the disbelief that overcame us! obviously inebriated from the blow, our heroine was able to take off like lightning, and gained once again a full city block lead on her man friend who valiantly continued in his pursuit over her, jacket and food (still straight) in tow. he must have been a waiter, that food was not spilling anywhere!!
and thus ended, an eventful evening and another round of "voice-overs" where in fact, we really weren't doing the voices or creating a scenario, but foreshadowing the next happenning. i hope the couple resolved their argument. and shared, when they got home what was in the white styrofoam container...
