the wonders of the www

have a research paper? look on the internet for answers! going on a trip? book your flight, hotel, and attractions on the internet! have a friend or family member u haven't talked to in a while? well, my friend! the internet is for you!! from MSN Messenger to ICQ to random chat rooms!

no this is not a cheesey internet promotion blog.

i was talking to a friend of mine in chicago, one i have not spoken to in a while. catching up, making fun of the "old" times, and swearing like mad! all was good in the world, until i had to go. being it hockey season and all, lately i've found myself finishing my online conversations with the expected "go LEAFS go"

"don't you mean 'LEAVES'?"

obviously he doesn't watch hockey.

"no i mean LEAFS, like the hockey team? Toronto Maple Leafs?"

apparently it's a "Canadian" thing to encourage the leaves on the trees to keep on growing after winter is over. the origin of the almighty Canadia Foliage Revitalization Festival, is unknown.

silly american.

grow LEAVES grow.

game 4 done and done. i'm now 11 for 11. sunday in philadelphia!

a traitor among us

so last night, game 3, the santos' and the lopez's, are sitting in front of our TV, on the abyss known as my living room couch. it's amazing how many people u can draw onto this couch, and 20 minutes later have them completely zoned out. i should use this to my advantadge one day, watch your pockets people, if you're out in lala-land, i WILL make lala richer! ha!

one thing the couch does not have power over is the remote control driver. if you have the remote, you control all the mind numbing goodness that comes out of the tv. my uncle has it at this particular time and so here we were flipping back and forth between the BEST Toronto Maple Leaf Postseason game this year and American Idol. the heck?!?! how do u compare the two?? don't get me wrong, i like American Idol too! but for the love of Cookies 'n' Cream milkshakes people!! needless to say, my screaming, and silence, and severe sulking did not rectify the situation until of course...wikkid! i stole the remote. it's all about hockey now folks!

now being 10 for 10, and predicting two flyer wins, i'm ejoying the fact that the game is leaning so far over to the leafs bench that it may as well be laying down. i'm very much into the game now, and almo in combination with mcCabe my heart is thumping all over the place. those two know how to work it for sure.

as a side note: my dad wants a Senators jersey, what the hell is that all about??

3 more to go.

go LEAFS go

making it happen

and did they ever make it happen last night! THAT'S MAPLE LEAFS HOCKEY! 10 for 10. and i'm beaming today! well beaming as much as i can behind puffy, stingy, and red eyes. i am sleepless in scarborough again.

one wing penalty

it's a one wing penalty to forget someone's middle name. and in my case it was forgetting two names. so i guess i was let off easy on that one. after committing my offense, PJME, did however think out loud. EDIT: typed out his thoughts. and said he could have milked the name forgetting for more than one measly wing.

kerry fraser agrees with me on this one, i swear he does! ask him! PJME gets sent to the box on a friend misconduct. penalized for one wing. our teams are at even strength now. when he tries to take back his misconduct. i call it a dive. but i do not get any support and the initial penalties stand. but now, i still owe the man a day at the pub, wearing leafs jerseys.

game is tomorrow. home ice. with the potential of having 11 and 25 back in the line-up. yes folks! that was an 11 and a 25..owie nowie and joey! bring out the big guns, even tho the guns have dents and scratches, and have a bigger chance on back-firing...they're out none-the-less. and that excites me.

go LEAFS go

hobbit love part II

i forgot to mention that i watched LOTR:Return of the King for the second time today. it was free. that made it good. i walked down the street with two other leafs jerseys. that made it cool. i was able to fully exploit the gay hobbit love (see previous entry: kiss me you hobbit!) the second time around. this made it GREAT! you always notice more things the second time around. and the new homosexual innuendos, were better than the old ones that i was waiting for. it was awesome even though i was dead tired all day, (see previous entry: the deadliest sin) with good reason, no?

on a completely different note..
the leafs lost tonight. boo for that! but that puts me two for two on this series. nine for nine on the playoffs. they played well. so i'm proud of the boys. a win would have been nice however.
home game on the 28th...3 days.

the deadliest sin...

pride.lust.envy.gluttony.wrath.greed.sloth...and don't forget the deadliest of them all, being Mr. Reyes. not only have all the deadly sins consumed his being, but male-pattern baldness too! it was everything we expected it to be, sorry him to be.

as planned we went out for jackie's birthday and also as expected we went club clubbing. it was interesting meeting the replacement friends. i wouldn't call them so much our replacements-because in reality who can replace our friends? ha! the dynamic of the new people was a big shock to a lot of us. from the outside their basis on everything was looks are everything. and even then, i'm not so sure what "look" exactly they were going for. first thing that came to may's mind was "skanks" enough said. really it must be a mississauga thing.

sevVIIen lounge, a nice club, but...isn't there always a but??

resaons i would NOT go back:
1. dj tone deaf
2. a bottle of smirnoff ice costs $7.75
3. this is where all the cougars & sharks are born
4. everyone is a light shade of ... WHITE!

the price of drinks was horrible. and i understand the club payed a lot to have it look the way it does. but there are a number of esthetically pleasing clubs in the GTA, where the the price of one bottled drink doesn't cost the price of a 6-pack of the same drink at the LCBO. pure robbery. on top of being low on cash after 2 drinks and several bad sets of techno/tribal/messed-up house, it was another cougar haven. i seem to be going to a lot of these lately. mental note: STOP THAT! it was not as bad as going to Indian Motorcycle, that's more of a place where cougars and sharks go to retire. seven was more of a place where cougars and sharks were made. they were merely cubs and guppies. but regardless, mad purring everywhere.

shane, an old friend from high elementary school was there. and it was absolute laughter. i will agree with everyone that it would not have been the same without him there. it shocks most people that our group of friends have all mostly been friends since we were in our cradles, and are still friends now. this is the culture shock that we experienced with "the replacements". 24 years down the road do u see the people around you still being your friend? i'm glad i can say yes.

anyway..leafs game is on.

it takes a lot...

to be a MAC PRO. this weekend is another birthday. which means..YES! i'm going club clubbing again. seVIIen on a saturday (expect my review sunday).

this is not just any birthday, it's JaX. i'm excited to go (who wouldn't want to see inebriated jax again?!?) i'd go back for seconds and thirds on that. but at the same time things are drawing me back. let me elaborate: in the return of jax, i should be expecting the unbearable return of "Big Drama". in our lifetimes we all meet that one person who you'd rather see burned by a huge magnifying glass, than to ever have met them at all. i'm being specific aren't i? i've had the disadvantadge of meeting this fool a number of times, and i can't shake him! he doesn't disappear if you ignore him. he's like that little kid on the bus ride to work on a rainy day. you know which one i'm talking about right? the one that just walked through a huge puddle of mud and think he's gotta his ADD ass on his seat – swooshing mud all over your new coat – just to look outside? yes that's the one. and that's how agitating it is to see "DRAMA" if that was not a factor in itself, the man purely personifies the act of being dramatic.

anyway, as usual i will go with a smile on my face, and dance till my feet hurt, and have a few drinks with the birthday girl! heaven forbid that the "few drinks" turns to more than necessary for me to lose all control and give "DRAMA" a tongue lashing, that has been long overdue....but that wont happen. that's too evil, and i'm not evil, i'm sleepy.

it's 1a.m. much too late..or early rather for me to be thinking about this.

the leafs lost tonight. one for one.

i just realized i have not blogged in a while. my apologies. i will try harder.

the dragon lives

leafs in seven. it was in my head at the beginning of the series, and now it's done. hey laradomus! go LEAFS go!

experienced once again, what it's like to watch a so-called "battle of ontario" with the other Ontario. it's fun, but NOT, all at the same time. must be that i'm used to watching hockey differently. anyway, one down. we watched the game at mafu's house. that was probably the closest we were getting to the ACC, Game 7, Ottawa vs. Toronto...without spending over $1000 on tickets. the boys picked me up from work. and as we leave...oh chad! oh joe! oh man! i'm jumping inside...gerson is jumping inside, but we maintain..because moog and matt's ears are bleeding. gad damn...without a doubt the rest of the game was like this. i jumped a little. i yelped a little. but only a little. but have no fear leafs fans...i fully exercised my horn on the way home!

i look forward to another series to watch. and hockey in warmer weather. and who doesn't like hockey in warm weather?!? i sure as hell do!

kiss me you hobbit!

this week is definitly not my week. no sleep. and when i do get sleep...it doesn't feel like much when i wake up.

i finally saw LOTR: Return of the King!! oh man what a gas! i've read various reviews by friends, as well as had a few conversations regarding the movie. seemed to get the same reaction from everyone....HOBBIT LOVE for everyone....with an extra helping of gayness. ha! it was great!

i have not gone out to a movie in a while....i have not gone out with Ya in a while either. so to have both happen in one night, was extra super rabidiculous. there were many jokes to be had after a bum-numbing 3.5 hours of waiting for Samwise to kiss Frodo or vice-versa. little did i know..it was a 2 for 1 kind of movie. for every hobbit couple on the verge of a steamy passionate liplock, there was another one. reality is...there were only two couples=4 hobbits. but doesn't it just sound better when u say u got a 2 for 1 hobbit deal? that would have been an awesome kids deal at mcD's. small fries...small drink...and mini burgers! man! do u remember white castle burgers!?! horrible to the core..but yummy goodness to the end. i'm going off on a tangent again....definite signs of me lacking sleep. overall, the movie was good. i am definitly looking forward to watching it again...for FREE, just so i can vocalize what i wanted to say the first time around without the worry of missing a hot kiss....
